Openlink Endur Business Analyst
Location: London, United Kingdom
Pay: £70-100k pa + Bonus + Benefits
Job Overview: The Openlink Endur Business Analyst will play a critical role in the hands-on implementation of the Openlink Endur solution for a leading energy trading firm in London. This role involves working closely with the client to understand their complex trading, risk management, and back-office processes, and configuring Endur to meet these needs. The successful candidate will have a strong background in ETRM systems, particularly Openlink Endur, and will be adept at delivering tailored solutions in a fast-paced trading environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the hands-on implementation of Openlink Endur for the client, ensuring that the solution is fully aligned with their trading and risk management needs.
- Provide industry-specific and functional advice during discovery workshops, design sessions, and throughout the implementation and testing phases.
- Present and demonstrate the Endur solution to client users, ensuring it meets all business process requirements.
- Collaborate with client stakeholders, including traders, risk managers, and back-office staff, to determine specific business requirements and ensure these are addressed by the Endur configuration.
- Support the Technical Consultants by providing functional guidance and assisting with the review, testing, and validation of custom reports, plugins, and interfaces.
- Exhibit deep expertise in one or more areas of Endur configuration, particularly in relation to energy trading, and offer guidance to other consultants on the team.
- Manage the gathering, documentation, and maintenance of business requirements, configuration designs, test plans, results, and other deliverables, ensuring these align with the client’s objectives.
- Maintain clear and regular communication with the Project Manager and other stakeholders regarding the status of project tasks and responsibilities.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in all aspects of the Endur implementation, including functional design, specifications, custom coding, and unit testing.
- Follow documentation standards and resolution processes to maintain consistency and quality across all project deliverables.
- Ensure full chargeability on the client account, delivering high levels of client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
- Hands-On Implementation Experience: Extensive experience with the implementation of Openlink Endur in an energy trading environment is essential. Previous experience with the Aspect application is a plus, but not required.
- Front Office/Risk Skills: Deep understanding of trading and risk concepts, including experience with both physical and financial instruments. Proficiency in developing book structures, configuring pricing constructs, setting trading and risk limits, and generating position reports.
- Back Office/Accounting Skills: Experience with invoicing and settlements, contracts and confirmations, cash flow reporting, and ERP integration for accounts receivable and payable.
- Scheduling Skills: Strong knowledge of scheduling in ETRM systems, including transportation, storage, exchanges, processing, and inventory management specific to energy commodities.
- Industry Knowledge: Expertise in one or more of the following areas: Natural Gas, Crude, Refined Products, Biofuels, LNG, Metals, Carbon, Coal, Agricultural Products.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in designing, configuring, and troubleshooting Openlink Endur installations within energy trading firms.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Economics, or a related IT field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Client Engagement: Willingness and ability to work onsite at the client's London location, providing direct support throughout the implementation process.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a project team, collaborating closely with both client and internal stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working directly with energy traders
- Familiarity with Endur documentation standards and best practices.
- Certification in project management or relevant ETRM systems.
