This role is ideal for a professional with deep expertise in Allegro and a strong understanding of the energy trading environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Industry and Functional Expertise: Provide expert advice during discovery workshops, design, implementation, testing, and production support phases to address the client's business needs effectively.
  • Client Presentations: Present the Allegro solution to client users, ensuring clear communication of how it meets their specific requirements.
  • Support Technical Consultants: Provide functional guidance, review, testing, and validation of scripted solutions such as reports, plugins, and interfaces, as directed by the Product Manager.
  • Business Requirements Consultation: Work closely with client users to determine business requirements and work processes that need to be addressed by the Allegro solution.
  • Product Configuration: Demonstrate deep knowledge in one or more areas of Allegro configuration and in energy commodities such as Natural Gas, Power, Crude, and Refined Products.
  • Team Guidance: Provide guidance to other Business Consultants on the team in one or more functional areas of the Allegro solution.
  • Best Practices Implementation: Assist with the adoption of professional services best practices as directed by the Line Manager, ensuring adherence to implementation best practices in all functional areas.
  • Project Implementation: Take on hands-on project implementation duties throughout all phases of the Allegro implementation, ensuring that the solution is aligned with the client's needs.
  • Documentation: Gather and document business requirements, configuration designs, test plans/results, and other deliverables required by the project, maintaining consistency and quality.
  • Communication: Keep the Line Manager and Project Manager informed about the status of assigned responsibilities, ensuring transparency and timely updates.
  • Adherence to Standards: Follow Allegro documentation standards and resolution processes for all deliverables.
  • Client Chargeability: Maintain full chargeability on client accounts as assigned, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

  • Allegro Horizon Expertise: Hands-on implementation experience with the Allegro Horizon application is preferred, but a relevant ETRM background will also be considered.
  • Front Office/Risk: Strong knowledge of trading and risk concepts, including experience with both physical and financial instruments. Implementation experience should include book structures, pricing constructs, setting limits (Risk and Trading), VAR, option valuation, and position reporting. Credit reporting/configuration experience is highly desirable.
  • Accounting/Back Office: Experience in invoicing and settlements, contracts and confirms, cash flow reporting, and interfacing with ERP systems for A/R and A/P. Accounting skills related to inventory valuation, accruals, account coding, and hedge accounting are a plus.
  • Scheduling/Operations: Strong understanding of scheduling concepts in ETRM systems, with experience in transportation, storage, exchanges, processing, and inventory management. Experience with Nat Gas scheduling (pathed and non-pathed) is preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Expertise in energy commodities, particularly Natural Gas, Power, Crude, Refined Products, and Biofuels.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in designing, configuring, and troubleshooting Allegro or similar ETRM systems in client environments.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Economics, or a related IT field, or equivalent professional experience.
