Senior RightAngle Business Analyst

We are embarking on a cutting-edge RightAngle implementation, and we are seeking a seasoned Senior RightAngle ETRM Business Analyst to be a pivotal part of this transformation. Role Summary: As a Senior RightAngle ETRM Business Analyst, you will leverage your deep expertise in the RightAngle solution and ETRM systems to guide the successful implementation of the product for our client's business needs. You will engage with stakeholders at all levels to ensure the solution is designed, configured, and delivered to meet the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Industry Expertise: Provide expert advice and troubleshooting throughout all phases of the project, from discovery workshops to production support.
- Client Engagement: Present the RightAngle solution to client users, ensuring alignment with their business objectives.
- Technical Guidance: Support Technical Consultants by providing business and functional guidance, as well as reviewing, testing, and validating scripted solutions (reports, plugins, interfaces).
- Requirements Gathering: Work with client users to determine detailed business requirements and work processes to be addressed by the RightAngle solution.
- Product Configuration: Demonstrate deep knowledge in configuring RightAngle across various energy commodities and functional areas.
- Team Leadership: Provide guidance to Business Consultants on best practices and project deliverables.
- Project Implementation: Take a hands-on approach in all phases of the RightAngle implementation, reporting directly to the Project Manager.
- Documentation: Gather and document business requirements, configuration designs, test plans/results, and other necessary project deliverables.
- Status Reporting: Keep the Line Manager and Project Manager informed about the status of your assigned responsibilities.
- Best Practices: Adhere to industry and ION solution best practices in all functional design, specifications, custom coding, and unit testing activities.
- Client Focus: Maintain full chargeability on assigned client accounts, ensuring a high level of service delivery.
Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
- RightAngle Expertise: Hands-on implementation experience with RightAngle is preferred, though relevant ETRM experience will be considered.
- Accounting: Strong experience with accounting practices, including transaction typing, inventory reconciliation, invoicing, and tax-related functionalities within ETRM systems.
- Scheduling: Expertise in scheduling concepts, transportation logistics, inventory management, and the use of specific RightAngle features such as Inventory Workbench, Voyage Workbench, and Auto Matcher.
- Front Office: Comprehensive knowledge of trading, including physical and financial instruments, contract management, pricing constructs, and risk management within the RightAngle environment.
- Mid Office/Risk: Proficiency in mid-office functions, risk management, price curve configuration, and credit reporting, with a solid understanding of RightAngle’s risk and reporting capabilities.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of energy commodities including Crude, Lease Crude, NGLs, Refined Products, Biofuels, and Coal, as well as associated industry practices.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years’ experience in designing, configuring, and troubleshooting RightAngle or similar ETRM solutions.
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Economics, or a related IT field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively as part of a project team and independently when required.
- Onsite Flexibility: Willingness to work onsite at client locations in Houston and potentially other locations as necessary.
