TriplePoint CTRM Business Consultant

Role Overview:
Our client, a leading multinational commodity trader specializing in both energy and commodities, is seeking a seasoned TriplePoint CTRM Business Analyst. This critical role involves providing industry and functional advice throughout the entire TriplePoint CTRM implementation lifecycle. The successful candidate will support discovery workshops, design, implementation, testing, and production support, ensuring that the product solution aligns with the client’s business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consultation & Advice: Deliver expert industry and functional guidance during discovery workshops, design, implementation, testing, and production support phases.
- Client Presentation: Present the Product solution to client users, ensuring they understand and can effectively utilize the solution.
- Support Technical Deliverables: Assist Technical Consultants by providing business and functional guidance, and review, test, and validate scripted solutions such as reports, plugins, and interfaces.
- Business Requirements Gathering: Consult with client users to determine business requirements and work processes that the Product solution needs to address.
- Configuration Expertise: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge in one or more areas of Product configuration and energy commodities.
- Guidance to Business Consultants: Provide direction and support to Business Consultants in functional areas of the Product solution.
- Professional Services Best Practices: Contribute to professional services best practices as directed by the Line Manager.
- Project Implementation: Engage in hands-on project implementation across all phases, reporting directly to the Project Manager.
- Documentation: Gather, document, and manage business requirements, configuration designs, test plans/results, and other project deliverables.
- Communication: Keep the Line Manager and Project Manager(s) informed about the status of assigned tasks and responsibilities.
- Adherence to Standards: Follow implementation best practices, TPT documentation standards, and resolution processes for all deliverables.
- Client Chargeability: Maintain full chargeability on assigned client accounts.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
Required Skills:
- TriplePoint Experience: Preferred implementation experience with TriplePoint, though relevant ETRM background will be considered.
- Front Office/Risk Expertise: Extensive knowledge of Trading and Risk concepts, including physical and financial instruments. Experience with book structures, pricing constructs, limit settings, VAR, option valuation, and position reporting is essential.
- Accounting/Back Office Knowledge: Experience in invoicing, settlements, contracts, confirms, cash flow reporting, and ERP interfacing for A/R and A/P. Accounting skills such as inventory valuation and hedge accounting are desirable.
- Scheduling/Operations: Strong knowledge of scheduling concepts within ETRM systems. Experience with transportation, storage, exchanges, processing, inventory management, and tariff capture is required.
- Industry Expertise: Familiarity with Natural Gas, Crude, Refined Products, Biofuels, LNG, Metals, Coal, and Agricultural Products.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in designing, configuring, and troubleshooting Product installations in client environments.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Economics, IT, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively within a project team structure.
- Onsite Work: Willingness to work onsite at client locations.
